§ 3.521. General.

  • A.

    Amendments to the General Plan which change property from one land use designation to another, which impose policies and standards not previously imposed, which modify plan text, or which remove or modify the text or any policy or standard previously imposed, shall be adopted in the manner set forth in this section.

    B.

    Amendments to the General Plan can be either major or minor. Major and minor amendments have different hearing requirements as outlined in Section 3.524.

    C.

    Major amendments to the General Plan are those that:

    1.

    Apply citywide;

    2.

    Adopt a new element of the General Plan; or

    3.

    Adopt a specific plan that has impact throughout the character area in which it is located.

    D.

    All other amendments are considered minor amendments.
