§ 18-73. Bins.

  • (a)

    Containers, bins or compactor bins supplied by a third party commercial solid waste service provider, or used by an owner, operator or occupant of a business establishment to collect the refuse of the business establishment, are subject to approval by the administrator.

    (b)

    Business establishments being serviced by a third party commercial solid waste service provider may have standard refuse containers, roll-off bodies, bins and/or compactor bins supplied by the third party solid waste service provider. All containers, roll-off bodies, bins and compactor bins shall be painted and maintained in a clean, neat and sanitary manner at all times and shall have the name of the third party solid waste service provider identified legibly thereon.

    (c)

    The third party commercial solid waste service provider and the owner, operator or occupant of the business establishment shall be jointly and severally responsible for keeping and maintaining a sufficient number of bins and containers, as may be determined by the administrator, to accommodate the accumulation and collection needs of the business establishment.

    (d)

    All refuse generated by a business establishment shall be placed in approved containers, bins or compactor bins in accordance with this article.
