§ 21.2-71. Manager's duty to ensure compliance by performers.

  • (a)

    An adult cabaret manager shall not allow any person to work as an adult cabaret performer on the adult business premises until such person has displayed to the manager a valid adult cabaret performer's license and identification card. The manager shall require that all persons employed as adult cabaret performers maintain current licenses and identification cards at all times during which such persons work at the adult cabaret. On or before January 31 of each year, the manager shall verify with each adult cabaret performer that such person has renewed his or her license and identification card.

    (b)

    The provisions of this section shall not apply, for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, to persons who were employed as adult cabaret managers or performers within the city prior to such effective date.
