§ 21-172. Park-and-swap operations; general operating restrictions.

  • The following restrictions and conditions shall apply to all park-and-swap operations:

    (1)

    The operator shall produce satisfactory evidence that adequate off-street vehicle parking to accommodate the vehicles of all persons in attendance at the park-and-swap operation has been provided as required by the planning and zoning department.

    (2)

    Adequate permanent rest room facilities approved by the building and safety department shall be provided.

    (3)

    Adequate security to be determined by the chief of police shall be provided and paid for by the operator. The security shall be on duty at all times while the park-and-swap operation is open for business.

    (4)

    The operator shall cooperate with members of the city police department investigating, examining or monitoring merchandise which is being displayed or is for sale, barter or exchange.

    (5)

    Adequate access, as approved by the city fire department, to and within the park-and-swap operation shall be provided.

    (6)

    The operator shall provide for a daily clean-up of the premises and maintain such premises in good, clean and sanitary condition at all times.

    (7)

    The premises must be vacated by all participants and all of their merchandise and personal property shall be removed at the close of each day's business.
