§ 24-152. Standing in freight zone; exceptions.

  • When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in a freight curb loading zone during the hours when the provisions applicable to such zones are in effect, except:

    (1)

    To load or unload freight; or

    (2)

    The driver of a passenger vehicle may stop temporarily at a place marked as a freight curb loading zone for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers when such stopping does not interfere with any motor vehicle used for the transportation of materials which is waiting to load or unload in such zone. Vehicles displaying state disabled parking insignia may stand or park in a freight or curb loading zone for a period not to exceed five (5) minutes while loading or unloading persons.
