§ 2-214. Definitions.

As used in this chapter, the following definitions shall apply:

City: The City of Glendale, Arizona.

City attorney: City attorney or designee.

City manager: City manager or designee.

City risk manager: City risk manager or designee.

Finance director: Finance director or designee.

Workers' compensation expenses: Any and all costs and expenses for city's workers' compensation program, including but not limited to workers' compensation analyst, claim adjustment expenses, self-insured premiums, excess insurance or reinsurance, broker fees, actuarial fees, third party administration fees and legal fees and expenses.

Workers' compensation loss: Workers' compensation losses, damages, defense and awards by the Industrial Commission of Arizona for injuries incurred by an employee or volunteer as covered by the Arizona workers' compensation laws and statutes.
