§ 2-227. General policy.

The city accepts a responsibility for expanding experience through public art and the performing arts. Such art has enabled people in all societies to better understand their communities and individual lives. The creation of works of art for public places should be encouraged. A policy is therefore established to direct the inclusion of works of art in city facilities and to encourage the performing arts within the city.
