§ 30-101. Purpose and definition.

(a)

The following sections apply to anyone who wishes to construct, excavate, demolish, place materials or otherwise plan some action which will result in creating a temporary encroachment within the City of Glendale.

(b)

As used in this article, the term "material" shall mean building blocks, lumber, stone, building or landscape material of any kind, protective fence, protective canopy, debris from any building or building excavation, any material or equipment used or intended for use in connection with any construction or other work upon adjacent private or public property; however, such term shall not include any garbage, trash or other refuse in proper containers for collection or placed under express approval of the city.
