§ 33-35. Removal of water from fire hydrants; authorization.

No person shall remove, or attempt to remove, water from a fire hydrant, except as directed by officers of the fire department. A violation of this Section shall be a Class 1 misdemeanor. Violators shall be liable for all costs of the water lost/used and repairs necessitated by their actions and may subject the person to other civil penalties consistent with this Article.
