§ 33-86. Purpose.

The purpose of this division is:

(1)

To protect the health and welfare of the citizens of Glendale by preventing the backflow of contaminants or pollutants into the public potable water supply system; and

(2)

To promote the elimination or control of existing or new cross-connections within a Customer's internal potable water system, plumbing fixtures and industrial piping systems; and

(3)

To provide for a continuing program of cross-connection control which will prevent the contamination or pollution of the public potable water supply system.
