§ 33-158. When allowed.

  • Where a public sanitary sewer does not service a geographic area within the City, or is not located in any area under the jurisdiction of the City, the sewer serving a property shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system. Such private sewage disposal system shall comply with the provisions and recommendations of the state department of health services, the sanitary code of the county health department. and any applicable provisions of this City Code. Such installations must be approved, in writing by the City prior to requesting any permit from the county. Such private sewage disposal system shall be constructed, maintained, and operated at all times in a safe and sanitary manner.
