§ 8-51. Definition.

  • The following word, term and phrase, when used in this article, shall have the following meaning ascribed to it, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning. Whenever any words or phrases used in this article are not defined but are defined in the Motor Vehicle Laws of Arizona (Arizona Revised Statutes, Title 28, Chapters 3, 4 and 5 (A.R.S. §§ 28-601, et seq., 28-1301, et seq., and 28-1501, et seq.) and supplements thereto), such definitions shall apply.

    Motorized skateboard: A self-propelled device that has a motor, gas or electric, a deck on which a person may ride and at least two (2) tandem wheels in contact with the ground and which is not otherwise defined in A.R.S. § 28-101, et seq. as a motor vehicle, motorcycle, motor-driven cycle, motorized wheelchair or electric personal assistive mobility device.
