§ 26-68. Athletic contests and exhibitions—Invading playing area.

  • For any athletic contest or exhibition at a venue with a fixed seating capacity of ten thousand (10,000) persons or more and where admission is charged or tickets are required for admission, it shall be unlawful for any person to invade the playing field of any athletic contest or exhibition at any time while such contest or exhibition is in progress; or during intermissions or delays of such contest or exhibition; or for two (2) hours before and after such contest or exhibition; provided that this section shall not apply to the participants or officials in such contests or exhibition or other persons authorized to be on the playing field by a designated person of the organizer, sponsor or promoter of such sporting event.
