§ 2-19. Salary.

(a)

The mayor shall receive an annual salary of forty-eight thousand dollars ($48,000.00) and each councilmember shall receive an annual salary of thirty-four thousand dollars ($34,000.00).

(b)

All salaries shall be paid in equal biweekly installments, the annual total of which shall not exceed the annual compensation authorized herein. The city treasurer is hereby authorized to pay such installments after the necessary deductions as provided by law for social security, state retirement, state withholding income tax, federal withholding income tax and insurance.
