§ 19-65. Parking area landscaping.

  • On-site parking areas for all applicable development projects shall contain at least one (1) landscaped planter, not less than two hundred (200) square feet in area and with a minimum width of five (5) feet measured from back of curb to back of curb, for every ten (10) parking spaces provided on the site. No shrubs within a planter island of an on-site parking area shall be maintained to a height in excess of three (3) feet, and all trees within such planters shall maintain a minimum clearance of five (5) feet from the lowest branch to the adjacent grade elevation. The required number of landscape planters shall be distributed or located within the parking areas to enhance the proposed development project. The landscaped area within these planters may be used to satisfy, to the extent provided, the landscaped area requirements set forth in section 19-62.
